About 8 years ago when Sue Chadwick announced her son, Bob, was going
to appear at the Cinegrill, my husband, Bubby Baker, and I attended
and were just blown away with Bob's piano artistry. Later, when he
visited us in Rancho Mirage, we spent a great afternoon getting to
know each other and since Buddy was also a musician, having been a
film composer for Walt Disney for 28 years, Buddy and Bob really hit
it off. We spent the evening at our favorite Palm Desert bistro where
we ate wonderful Italian food and listened to jazz.. Bob was invited
to sit in and played a couple of great tunes. That was the beginning
of our friendship. When my husband died in 2002, Bob came down from
his home in Arrowhead to attend Buddy's Life Celebration. How sweet
was that!
Bob, I hear Walt is building a new super Disneyland. If you will
contact Buddy I know you and your Yamaha will be pressed into
immediate service. Anyone who plays piano like you do won't be idle
very long!
See you in Heaven, sweetie.

To Whom It May Concern,
Just found out checking the Bob Chadwick's website that he died on June 30th
of 2008. Charmaine and I sure enjoyed his piano playing at the 2005 HPS
Reunion. I had talked to Bob at the HPS site on Hollywood Blvd and wanted
to buy one of his CD's and he insisted no charge and mailed me a CD. How
kind he was since he did not really know me.

The times I have shared with Bob, like parties, TV shows, Do Dah Parades…….were always an experience to remember.
He made great music and always was a lot of fun. I loved our conversations about old radio and TV of which he was a major part.
I will always and have retold the story of Truth or Consequences New Mexico and the radio show of the same name……..
Bob you are in my thoughts

| Bob was my cousin. I knew "Bob" as "Robert". I remember that he had a cameo role in a movie playing a - what else - piano player. I think the moview was Towering Inferno. Bob's father (who I knew as "Jimmy Chadwick") was my mother's brother. I spent a week with Bob about 1970 on a trip to Calif when he took me to Disneyland. Jimmy also got me on the TV show Truth or Consequences as an opening gag by dressing up in women'sclothes so the audience was laughing when the show opened on air. I even have an old 8mm movie of us riding some sort of carnival type of ride. at Disneyland. I think it lasted for about 2 minutes. We never really kept in touch but I do have fond memories of our time together.
