about Harriet Cadish

Recently through the announcement for our Reunion in 2008 on several websites, we were contacted and offered a 1965 yearbook. Since this was not from one of our alumni, I had to ask how they came into possession of one of our yearbooks. Below is the response. We owe this wonderful lady a Big Thank You.

Dear HPS,

In June, 1965, my father had a business trip to California and decided to turn it into a family vacation ......(we were from the Chicago area).  I have an arrow pointing to "Harriet Cadish, Counselor" who's picture is in the book and, if memory serves me, I believe she was the wife of the man my father was meeting with ..... I was thirteen at the time and of course looking for every "movie star" I could find and this woman took me to the school (HPS) for a tour.  My parents had gone to Vegas for the weekend and these people babysat me while they were gone, this was our big outing ..... I remember being thrilled!  As a souvenir she gave me the yearbook from that year and I have toted it around the country with me ever since .... now I am cleaning out my basement and found it again and thought it was doing me no good but I just hated to throw it out if someone else would like to have it.....  (aren't you sorry you asked how I got it????!!!!!!)

Anyway, I would love to pass it on to you to add to your archive collection

I've enjoyed "unearthing" the yearbook every time I've moved and have looked at it several times ....... guess I never grew out of being that star-struck teenager!!!!!
